Dimitris is currently the of Head of the Investment & Portfolio Analysis Division in Saudi Aramco’s Downstream Finance, Strategy & Planning outfit. In his current role he oversees the compilation of Aramco’s Downstream 10-year Investment Plan, evaluating fit with Aramco’s D/S strategic priorities and stress testing against different scenarios.
As of recently his role has expanded to include verification and certification of the Carbon Footprint for selected SAO liquid products, including aviation fuels.
Prior to joining Saudi Aramco in 2021, Dimitris spent 20 years with Shell in a number of different roles and different geographies, from Technology to Operations to Economics and Scheduling to Front End Opportunity Development and Strategy Support.
Through his 25+ years career he developed expertise in the area of Oil-Chemicals-Gas Integration, their strategic / commercial and technological aspects. He is recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in Technological / Economic / Commercial aspects of Crude to Chemicals. And has expanded this to incorporate sustainability (carbon emissions, circularity) aspects.
Dimitris has Advanced degrees in Process Systems Engineering and Business Studies from Imperial College and The London School of Economics respectively.
