Ross Adams was appointed as the Representative of Australia on the ICAO Council in September 2021.
Prior to assuming this role, Mr Adams held a number of aviation roles within the Australian Government. Mr Adams oversaw Australia’s international passenger arrivals framework during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also led air services negotiations over a number of years and was responsible for managing international aviation environmental and facilitation matters.
Mr Adams has previously represented Australia as a member of the Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection, the Facilitation Panel and the Air Transport Regulation Panel.
Beyond aviation, Mr Adams has extensive experience in public sector governance and managing public resources.
Mr Adams holds qualifications in management, commerce and science from the Australian National University.
